As per IS:2720 (Part VII & VIII). The machine is designed to compact specimens automatically and uniformly for Proctor and C.B.R. tests, eliminating the laborious hand compaction method. The rotation of the mould after each stroke and the lateral movement of the table (for C.B.R. mould only) ensures complete coverage of soil surface.
